Začetna ideja za solo predstavo Ulysses je bil prevod delov Joyceovega istoimenskega romana v gib. Iz tega se je Ulysses razvil v izpoved osebne izkušnje popotovanja: tako fizičnega potovanja preko osmih tednov, kot tudi poti skozi roman, preko branja, čutenja in razumevanja Joyceovega dela.
V prevodu tako niso več črke in besede v tekstu. Namesto njih so to na eni strani fizični prostori, kjer je predstava Ulysses nastajala, na drugi  pa Joyceov način skladanja romana, prepletanja lokacij, oseb in pomenov v celoto.

Predstava je nastajala na lokacijah, ki jim lahko sledite preko zemljevidov na tej spletni strani. Tekom potovanja in v odziv nanj so se nabirale risbe, fotografije, gibi, posnetki zvokov in svetlobe. Tedensko so se spletali v Niti 01 - 08, katere skupaj s predstavo sestavljajo celostno podobo popotovanja. Deveti, osrednji del, se vpleta v živo.

       SKOZI NITI 01-08

The starting point for Ulysses solo performance was translating parts of Joyce’s novel into movement. From this idea, Ulysses evolved into a personal account of a journey: the physical journey of eight weeks, as well as the journey through the book, by reading, feeling and nderstanding Joyce’s work.
Now it’s no longer the letters and the words of the text which are in translation; instead, it’s on one side the physical locations of where the new Ulysses was becoming, while on the other it’s the way Joyce’s novel is composed with its interweaving of locations, characters and meanings into a whole.

The performance was created on locations which you can follow through maps on this website. While journey lasted and in response to it, sketches, photographs, movements, recordings of sound and of light were collected. Every week they were woven into “threads” 01 - 08, which, together with the performance, constitute the whole image of the journey. The ninth and central thread is being woven in live.
